Starting an instructional design career can sometimes feel like you’re the new kid in school, looking for someplace to eat lunch in the cafeteria. But, that’s why I created “I’m New Here!”
In this first episode, I’ll talk about how I plan to help new instructional designers, and where to start if you’re interested in becoming an instructional designer. I’ll also give you some standard definitions the show will be using, then assign your homework for next episode! Welcome to “I’m New Here”!
In this episode, I discuss...
“Each episode will be about 10 to 15 minutes long because I want to give bite-sized pieces of info you can listen to on the fly” (00:58)
“Let’s start by exploring some important words you need in your instructional design vocabulary” (02:14)
“Lots of knowledgeable folks are offering their services to help you become a successful and effective instructional designer” (06:13)
“Episode one’s homework assignment is going to help you start figuring out your ideal ID job” (07:48)
